It’s that time again!   It’s the Baker to Vegas Challenge Cup Relay.  The B2V Challenge Cup Relay is the largest and most unique law enforcement foot race in the world.  The race includes 120 miles of pavement with 20 difficult stages averaging 6 miles each. Starting in the city of Baker, California and ending in Las Vegas, Nevada,  law enforcement officers from around the globe battle it out every Spring for top honors. 


The Baker to Vegas Challenge Cup Relay will be held on March 27th and 28th, 2021.  


This year, the CSUPD Running Team will include over 50 runners and volunteers, from the statewide CSU campuses, who are on a mission to complete the 120 mile relay race in record time. This will be the eighth consecutive year that we will be competing for the coveted “MUG” award given to the top teams in each category AND the seventh consecutive year we will be competing for a Top 3 Podium finish in our Division.


To make the race a success, we need a variety of supplies and funds. Such items include, but are not limited to, team uniforms, vehicle rentals, reflector vests, follow-van equipment, water, nutritional snacks, etc.. We also need funds for the $2,200 race entry fee, $400 radio rental fee, transportation, individual awards, team meeting and Command Post room rental, and the team BBQ Banquet following the event.  Every donation is much appreciated and every little bit helps!   We couldn’t compete each year without the generous support of our friends and family.


We also run to remember our fallen officers AND their families!  A percentage of all proceeds are donated to the CA Peace Officers’ Memorial Foundation.
